Web Developer

Job role

At Otvorena mreža, I worked as a web developer on various projects, including optimization of business directories, building applications for live streaming, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for major news portals in the Croatian coastal region. This role allowed me to gain experience in both backend and frontend development, as well as SEO strategies, which later influenced my approach to building user-friendly and optimized web applications. With my minimal experience in web development at the time, I was able to learn a lot and contribute to the success of the projects I worked on. I built the in-house CMS based on the php-pear libraries heavily influenced by Joomla. Working directly on SEO and business directory optimization taught me to understand user needs and tailor technical solutions for audience impact — a foundation that later shaped my approach to developer experience and community-facing work.
