Job role

I founded 7Signals Consultancy in 2015 as a software consulting company providing development and DevOps services to clients across multiple industries and countries. As founder, I owned the full business development cycle: client acquisition, relationship management, project delivery, and strategic consulting. I engaged with clients ranging from startups (Biddl, Digital Living) to enterprises (Nord Software, Digia), spanning finance, gaming, market research, and digital advertising — each engagement requiring me to understand a new domain, build trust, and deliver outcomes.

This entrepreneurial consulting model was ecosystem building in miniature: I identified client needs, matched them with technical solutions, managed cross-cultural relationships, and consistently delivered across time zones as a remote-first organization. The business development and client management experience taught me how to communicate technical value to non-technical stakeholders, negotiate scope, and build lasting partnerships — skills directly foundational to developer relations and ecosystem engagement.

Personal development

As a digital nomad with my own consultancy, I had freedom to work where I wanted and travel the world while doing what I love. This experience allowed me to develop a strong work ethic and the ability to manage my time effectively, which has been crucial for my success as a digital nomad and entrepreneur. I also learned a lot about entrepreneurship, project management, and software development, and it helped me to develop a strong understanding of the software development industry and the importance of delivering high-quality software solutions to clients. Overall, this experience was crucial for my growth as a software developer and entrepreneur. This was a truly transformative experience for me, being able to build a successful business while traveling the world and experiencing different cultures. It taught me the importance of adaptability, self-discipline, and continuous learning, which has been invaluable in my career and personal life.
