Senior Developer and DevOps

Job role

Multi-client engagement as Senior Developer and DevOps at Nord Software, working across multiple projects in diverse industries — a consulting model that required deep client understanding and cross-team collaboration. At GameRefinery (SaaS platform for mobile game analysis) I was lead in backend development and data modeling. Adoveo/Ratataa (interactive video advertising) gave me insights into online advertising and video streaming, where I owned backend development and infrastructure. This is when I discovered Docker and Packer, and started introducing them to client projects. I also worked with Dovre Group (project management services in oil business) on implementing and maintaining features and services. Notable engagements included RapidCampaign/NearMe (backend with Symfony2) and Limiitti (backend with Yii). Across every client engagement, I learned to translate business needs into technical solutions — a consultative skill that's central to developer relations and ecosystem work.

Personal development

Overall this was a very important time in my career, as it provided me with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain experience in different industries. It also allowed me to further develop my skills in software development, devops, and project management. I had the opportunity to work with clients from different countries and cultures, which helped me to grow as a developer and a person. This experience laid the foundation for my future career in software development and entrepreneurship, and it helped me to develop a strong understanding of the software development industry and the importance of delivering high-quality software solutions to clients. This was the time when i discovered that software engineering is not just about writing code, but also about understanding the client's needs and delivering solutions that meet those needs. I also learned the importance of communication and collaboration in software development, and how to work effectively with clients and team members to achieve common goals.

After this role i became digital nomad, and i have been working remotely ever since. This experience also helped me to develop a strong work ethic and the ability to manage my time effectively, which has been crucial for my success as a digital nomad and entrepreneur.
